Excellent all round hospitality. The accommodation was pristine, very tastefully appointed and serviced daily. The breakfast offering and table service was exemplary and the proprietors were very friendly. On site parking was a bonus as parking in St Ives can be a challenge. Would definitely return.
Tips:Need to be prepared to ascend narrow and steep paths on foot.

For us it was ideal accommodation high above the town and harbour, providing wonderful views and an opportunity for exercise. Room, bed, en-suite were all excellent. Breakfast choices were also varied & excellent. Family running the B&B are friendly & most helpful. B&B's of this quality have become hard to find.
Tips:Cafes have become rare: try the one in Tate St Ives art gallery. Great views. Small cafe: Coasters Tea shop near church & town square. Penzance offers a great cafe attached to the Penlee art gallery. Park for free in Alexander Road and walk through Penlee Park. Naturally very popular.

Excellent B&B. Every where was so clean. Breakfast was amazing ongoing with the service.it was very hot the week we went, so we asked for a at sheet rather than a quilt they were more than happy to provide one. Room cleaned and bed madd up Every day
Tips:Catch the bus back from seafront it is far easier than the steps only £1.50each and the driver will drop you right outside the door. We used the garden several times at night to sit for a quiet drink. We had the room with a balcony it also had a sea veiw. Only thing missing was a full length mirror. But I'm sure if I'd have asked they would have provided one.

Very good family run business, very welcoming and extremely clean throughout. Good food choices for breakfast served in a very friendly manner. Great location for easy access to all areas of St Ives within a short walk. We will definitely be coming here again.
Tips:Whilst the walk into St Ives is easy due to being all downhill, the regular bus service back up the hill is a godsend and drops you right at the door of this b&b if requested.

Friendly, welcoming and attentive. A very pleasant place to stay, spotlessly clean, and an excellent breakfast!
Tips:Being only a short walk from the harbour, there is no shortage of restaurants etc, although the walk back up the hill to Glanmor may be a challenge for some. Being close to the A30, St Ives is an ideal base for access to all areas of southern Cornwall.

Once again stayed at this most enjoyable accommodation. Rooms have excellent bed, mattress, duvet, en-suite and clothes storage. Breakfasts are also excellent, particularly the fruit options. Yes, all the facilities that matter for excellent accommodation. Family running the Glanmor are keen to help in any practical way. A real Gem!
Tips:Would you believe it? there are a shortage of good cafes in St Ives. Two good options are the Tate gallery cafe (free to enter) and the Coasters Tea Shop, St Andrews St.

Excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. Only marked down slightly on location because of the hill (for Moira, not Graham)! But it is not a problem for people with a car. However the hill did give the advantage of a beautiful view. Thank you!
Tips:We liked Caffe Pasta and the fish and chips at the Harbour were very good - best tartare sauce I have had. As well as the Tate, the Penlee House art gallery in Penzance is worth a visit.

Had a lovely week at Glanmor, rooms and surroundings were exceptionally clean, very friendly staff, breakfast was delicious. Glanmor is not in the centre but only a 5-10 minute walk to town.
Tips:There are steps down to town which bring you out by the cinema and bus to Leisure Centre car park coming back. Rajooot curry house is lovely, stunning views from Balcony Bar. St Michael Mount and Minack theatre are a must.

The wifi was inconsistent. Recommend you change providors to get fibre if possible. Otherwise, we loved Glanmor. The staff all very easy to talk to and efficient. Breakfasts were top class.
Tips:Glanmor is near the top of a long climb from the town and beach. We discovered a bus service which worked well except for late eves. Hence the 5/10 for location. Otherwise a lovely b&b.

What can we say about our time at Glanmor! This hidden gem is set in an ideal location to walk to the harbour, local beaches, and all the shops. The free parking was so helpful for us to travel to other areas. Margaret and her family looked after so wonderfully- the breakfast was so delicious and the care, attention to detail was impeccable. They very attentive to our children’s needs (or fussing eating!) and wanted to tailor their breakfasts to make them happy. The rooms were so clean and well kept. Rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and owners cannot do enough for their guests. Location up the hill allows you to drive in or out avoiding town centre.
Tips:Besides its great beaches, particularly suitable for children, St Ives is known for the large number of arty shops. If St Ives get too busy, Penzance offers a quieter alternative with Morrab & Penlee gardens, art gallery and walks by the sea, albeit without the sandy beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay at Glanmor. We felt really welcomed and the room was superb: clean and full of light and with everything we needed. Our only recommendation would be to ensure the car park use is restricted to guests. Sometimes the owners are using the parking lot instead of the allocated spaces in from of their garage. This leads to customer parking behind other cars preventing customers to easily leave when they need to.

A very pleasant B&B located at top of the hill overlooking St Ives. Walkable but also served by local bus from town centre. B&B management are most helpful. Our room (No.3) was fine but the en-suite was very tight for space although adequate. Very good bed & mattress.

This is the 7th year our family has stayed with Margaret Den and Paul and it's like staying with favourite members of the family. The breakfast is awesome, the service is second to none. The rooms are of the highest quality and comfortable. A brilliant venue for singles, couples or families. Thanks for another great year.
Tips:St Ives offers a wide range of activities to suit the English weather, the Tate, Barbara Hepworth museum, various smaller studios and galleries if wet weather. The beaches are the main draw.Porth Meor for surfers, Porthminster is great for younger body boarders and families and harbour beach is a bit quieter. There is a wide range of pubs, bars, licensed cafe's, restaurants and bakeries to keep the most demanding palate happy.

Our stay at Glanmor is always a pleasure. 5th time round and still counting. It has become our home from home destination. The hosts Margaret, Dennis, Paul and young Amy are so lovely and welcoming. Paul and/or Dennis kindly pick us up from the station on arrival and drop us on departure. Breakfast is great with my favourite the fresh fruit salad with yoghurt, and of course a full cooked English. A variety of cereals. The rooms are spotlessly clean and bright. There’s also a lovely conservatory where I particularly enjoy sitting with a cup of tea and a book. This overlooks the property’s beautiful garden with a bit of sea view. Can you tell that I love this place. And of course St Ives is a beauty on a sunny day.
Tips:As for eateries, I would recommend Talay, a Thai restaurant by St Ives Harbour. Great food and reasonably priced. But there are plenty of places to eat.

Fantasic stay! There was just a little problem at arrival : my reservation confirmation said check-in between 2pm and 8pm and we had announced an arrival at 3pm. However no one was there when we arrived and we waited over an hour. We were then informed that check in started at 4pm. This was a shame as we would have organised ourselves differently to enjoy St Ives a bit more (although your garden is absolutely lovely!)

Glanmor is owned by a caring family Margret, Dennis, Paul. Having stayed at Glanmor for 18 years it improves every year! Not that there is anything to improve on in the first place! The Breakfast is the greatest with a choice of cereals, yogurt, juices and toast... as well as your main breakfast which is your choice, the croissants are my favourite !! The bedrooms are spacious, extremely clean and looked after as well as cleaned every day whilst you enjoy your day around st ives and come back at night to a fresh clean bed! The quality of service given throughout your whole stay is extremely welcoming and friendly and couldn’t thank everyone at Glanmor enough! Glanmor and the owners are the best ! Defintly recommend to everyone !! Love it here always have and always will ! Thank you so much Millie x
Tips:When I come to st ives with my family I always end up on the beach in the summer rain or shine ! Then go into the town for dinner which I recommend the firehouse opposite the union pub about a 5 min walk from Glanmor. However recently came in April and with the usual April showers only made it on the beach 3 times, so me and my boyfriend went on walks around st ives which cost nothing and is so beautiful seeing st ives/Cornish coast. We also went to the balcony to watch the football and had a few drinks which there cocktails are amazing and Brandon loved the milkshakes ! Lovely sea view from window on the Main Street. There are lots of things to do in st ives such as Surf school on Porthmeor beach, Canoeing on porthminster, A 25 min drive out of st ives is flanbards a great day if you have kids and it’s raining! Or just explore go to the Cornish pubs(the sloop) Cornish walks and sometimes have food festivals and little arty bits and bobs going on in st ives.

Kynance Cove beautiful and can walk to The Lizard. Healeys cider farm and Newquay Zoo good for a day out if weather not great.

We loved the location but others may find the walk back to be a little hilly but public transport runs to the doorstep. The room was immaculate and we were fortunate to have a sea view.Breakfast was superb and Paul makes everyone feel welcome.
Tips:Pels cafe on the harbour is a must for reasonably priced excellent snacks.Portminster Restaurant on the beach is excellent sea food with good service. The coastal walks are stunning.Enjoy !!

Everyone lovely, very pleasant and helpful a really nice relaxing and laid back atmosphere, enjoyed it so much contemplating going back for our two week summer holiday instead of the Mediterranean.
Tips:Ask the owners, their local knowledge is obviously very good and they will give you all the best coves, beaches, And places to eat, Highlights for us being the Minack theatre and the tea room on the harbour front.

Our stay at Glanmor was wonderful. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean and the bed so comfy I wanted to take it with me. Margaret,Paul and family were lovely and friendly and I don't doubt if you needed anything extra they would be able to help. Breakfast was fabulous - we opted for a cooked breakfast every morning as it was so tasty. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Tips:St Ives is a lovely place to visit - bustling and busy in the centre but you don't have to go far for a bit of peace and quiet. We ate at The Mex one evening - Mexican food which was fabulous. Very filling! The restaurant is very small and full when we went but a great atmosphere and very helpful staff. We also ate at The Cellar Bistro - ribeye steak was to die for! Also visit Olives Cafe and The Tearoom if you have the chance. So many great places to eat!

Glamor was excellent in every way. The location was superb, the guest house is such a lovely home away from home, and the breakfast facilities were fabulous. I could not fault it. Wifi kept our teen very happy. We also really appreciated the parking on site. Highly recommend it and will definitely book again. Hosts were lovely.
Tips:We thought Alba was lovely this time round but there are so many great restaurants to choose from. Most people visit for the beaches which are splendid - we came to visit to shop for some art and St Ives has so many wonderful galleries, something for everyone (paintings, ceramics, sculpture).

Fantastic stay at Glanmor --- lovely immaculately kept house and gardens. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Perfect location close to town/beach, yet super quiet. spacious, nicely decorated room. Fantastic, varied breakfast. Would certainly stay there again and can only recommend.
Tips:Cellar Bistro --- great food and reasonable prices right in the town center. Blas Burgerworks --- very nice (if not necessarily inexpensive) burger; great, accomodating service.
