22nd September 2024:
Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. I slept like a log. Very peaceful and quiet at night. Excellent location. Neil gave us a warm welcome and John makes the most delicious scones. The apartment has everything you need, all high specs modern, and comes with parking. Lovely seaview from the living room. We also made good use of the courtyard. Within a couple of minutes to everything. My husband walked to the sea for his morning swim and back for breakfast. The apartment is bright and sunny. I would also feel perfectly safe staying here if I came back on my own.
Tips:-Seahorse boat trip to Godrevy Island. -Thai TALAY excellent food on the harbour -lovely spa at the Harbour Spa Hotel -Norway Store for good groceries. -Carbis Bay (beachfront cafe serves excellent hot chocolate and cinnamon buns) -Minack theatre. Scenic!

Warm and friendly welcome together with local information if required and available for help if needed, just what you need!
Tips:There’s so many places to eat and drink in the local area we’ve tried serval different places over two visits so far to St Ives, not really found any particularly bad ones. Porthgwidden cafe restaurant in the evening, good food and service and great views of the bay. Porthminster Beach café also the same although prices slightly higher but again great views and service. The Firehouse is great for burgers too.

Wonderful apartment in the most perfect location for St Ives centre and for exploring surrounding areas. This is one of the very best places I've stayed in the world. It's immaculate, pristine and tastefully furnished and decorated. We were trying to find flaws because it seemed unbelievable but we weren't able to. Sheer perfection. If I never stay here again it'll be because I've either died or gone barmy.
Tips:Tate, Barbara Hepworth Museum, all fish and chip shops - St.Ives is utterly gorgeous.

Lovely welcome and delicious scones! We had everything we could possibly need for a very relaxing holiday. The apartment is stylish and spotlessly clean with nothing left to chance. John and Neil were great hosts and I would most definitely recommend staying there. Thanks John & Neil
Tips:The apartment is very handy for the beautiful town of St Ives and I would recommend spending time wandering around the town, stopping for coffee at The Yellow Canary and Yallah and just taking in the atmosphere. The Tait St Ives Gallery is worth a visit along with the Barbara Hepworth museum. A walk along the sand at low tide is very therapeutic and relaxing!

We visited St Ives for one week this summer and Tregenna Apartments was perfect for us. The apartment is located less than 5 minutes to the harbour and even closer to Porthminster beach. We were surprised at how spacious the apartment was. Everything we needed was provided, including fresh scones on arrival! We would absolutely recommend Tregenna Apartments and will definitely be back!
Tips:The apartment is located very close to Porthminster beach, which is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. Breakfast at Porthminster Beach Cafe is a must!

Practically perfect in every way! Really had everything we needed including parking which was brilliant, the most comfortable bed, and scones on arrival..we couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. The apartment was full of lovely local art and was scrupulously clean. Cosy and just a real treat!
Tips:A short walk to all that St Ives offers including beaches. Book in advance to eat out..we avoided very busy spots but ate at The Captains Table above The Sloop Inn which was great and just nicely tucked away from the crowds below! Find your way through to the local art galleries and not just the main streets and enjoy a calm wander around the Tate. Book well in advance for the Minack Theatre...a drive from St Ives..we are lovers of theatre and our visit there was really special.

The apartment is incredibly clean, stylish and cosy. This place is ideal, especially with the added bonus of a guaranteed car park space. The location is perfect, a shortcut in front of the apartment means you can walk down the beaches and harbour in just a few minutes! On arrival, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by John (also with some home made scones, cream and jam!) who had kindly put on the lamps and heating so we walked into a very cosy apartment. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and the rainfall shower in the bathroom was a big plus! This property is simply perfect in every way and we will definitely book it again next time!

We recently had our second stay at Tregenna Apartments and cannot fault it. We had a very warm welcome from Neil and treated to John's delicious scones. The apartment has everything you could need for a cosy and comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped - the bathroom fitted to a very high standard and the bed is extremely comfortable. The level of cleanliness is exceptional at any time, but now with added attention to provide a safe and sterile environment. We will definitely book again and would highly recommend to anyone. The available parking is a bonus.
Tips:The location of Tregenna Apartments, just above the centre of St. Ives, is ideal and a short walk to shops and restaurants. We recommend the Porthmeor Beach Cafe where you will enjoy a wonderful breakfast with excellent menu. During these times, we felt safe with the organisation and service provided. For dinner we went to Porthminster Kitchen and The Loft. Both were excellent for a safe dining experience with menus to suit every taste. If you enjoy walking - you are spoilt for choice - our walks included St. Ives to Zennor - taking the inland path - with the Tinners Arms at the end to provide a well earned lunch - and Lelant back into St Ives. Great cafe at Lelant - The Forge Bistro. Of course there are the beautiful beaches to enjoy and an excellent range of independent shops.

My second stay and, as before, couldn’t fault it. Clean and comfortable with everything you could need, from tea bags to parking, plus an amazing view to greet you every morning. As hosts you obviously genuinely care about your guests’ experience and I feel nothing would be too much trouble. Thank you again for the perfect base for a wonderful week in Cornwall.
Tips:Just explore!! The streets of St Ives are a real treat to walk around, the beaches are beautiful and there are plenty of good places to eat plus fantastic pasties. Further afield I love Zennor, St Just and St Michael’s Mount for amazing atmosphere. Mousehole and Newlyn are lovely (have you seen the Fishing documentaries on BBC 1? Watch then visit!!). So many little coves to visit as you drive (or walk) along the coast. Porthgwarra is a favourite. St Agnes is also on my list, Fowey, Padstow and Truro...visit galleries, try tea-rooms, enjoy the Cornish life...leave the stress somewhere else for a week or two! Have a pint in The Sloop, a burger at Blas (you’ll need to book) and have fun.

Tips:walk from St Ives to Porthkidney beach with squid and a Twinkle cocktail in the Porthminster Cafe a lovely start to the holiday. Seals in their cove at Godrevy a lovely sight and a visit to the Tate a joy followed by a fishcake and cocktail at the Porthminster kitchen and all done on my own. We had a wonderful stay at Tregenna. The apartment is superb. It's very stylish but also practical, it had everything we needed. It's in a great spot. I would highly recommend it.
Tips:Do check out the Tate and Barbara Hepworth museum. We walked a bit of the costal path from Zennor to Gurnards Head- bit hairy in parts but stunning. Had great casual meals in Beer & Bird & the Mex, very pleasantly surprised at the food in the Cellar Bistro- smoked haddock moray was fab as was bramble cocktail- superb. Had a lovely meal at Portminster beach cafe. Great spot and lovely food and wine. Also loved Eden Project- about an hours drive. Called into Falmouth en route home- approx 45 mins drive, fab quirky place.

Let's not beat about the bush - this is a superb apartment. Beautifully presented, clean, well equipped and comfortable with real attention to detail. It's only a very short walk to the centre of St Ives as well as the station if travelling by train.
Tips:If the weather is fine, breakfast at the the Porthminster Beach cafe is a must. Choosing your fish at the Seafood Cafe is a novelty at this excellent restaurant. The Barbara Hepworth museum/gallery was really brought to life by the guided half hour talk so well worth finding out the talk times beforehand. The quality of artwork in the dozens of galleries is consistently high and then there is the Tate! The circular walk to Lelant via Carbis Bay along the cliff tops is a delight with stunning views and fairly easy walking (directions are in the walks booklet in the apartment). More challenging, but really dramatic, is the coastal path to Zennor. It's possible to get a bus back every hour.

We couldn’t have asked for any more from John and Neil - they were excellent hosts! Our trip to St Ives was our honeymoon and we were greeted with homemade scones, bubbles and beautiful chocolate! John and Neil made themselves available at every opportunity for any questions about St Ives but equally were not intrusive - the perfect balance! The apartment was spotlessly clean and they’d thought of everything you’d need for a week away - all the little extra touches such as coffee/tea and a bottle of milk in the fridge were lovely - home from home!
